I still remember the day when I wore my apron. The dream of becoming doctor was going to be real, all my hard work from 8th grade had payed me the most prised possession MY APRON. On 5th august 2019 I first time wore my apron on my new kurti and pants, now it’s been more than 3 years of wearing my apron day in and out. Now Coming to the point for why I’m writing about it today, recently RGUHS has released a notice stating no one should wear apron in public places citing hygiene and other concerns. Even I agree with the concerns of university but my apron which is my chuni, dupata, my kind of burkha my personal jacket which is keeping my chest away from evil eyes of bad people, how should I give upon this? My Apron makes me feel safe as I have uniform which doesn’t has a dupata. My apron makes me feel safe in all public places even in my hospital posting and on roads while on my scotty . My pride comes with my apron and I also seek protection. I go out in public places fearless and with pride. I guess most of the girls agree with me. I don’t know how I’m going to find a alternate solution for not wearing my apron in public places. Do comment down what you’re apron means to you. And please do give me some suggestions. Thanks for reading.
